We’re pleased to be helping NIGF (Northern Information Governance Forum) promote and organise their second event in Wigan.

NIGF is a not for profit organisation based in the North of England. It provides a community that allows the discussion of Information Governance and Cyber Security related issues.

This event has a particular focus on Accountability and will be held at Wigan Town Hall on the 30th January.

It will host speakers from leading organisations including the Data Protection Officer from the Newcastle Building Society sharing his experience of implementing the GDPR’s accountability principle, the Information Governance Manager from Wigan Council speaking about making the best use of Social Media and the Internet and a series of breakout sessions to allow more in depth discussion on different areas of accountability including:

  • Third Parties – contracts and due diligence
  • Managing Data Subject Access Requests
  • Data Protection by Design and Default
  • Data Breaches – when to report

The event is free of charge and includes free refreshments.
